No increase in rent

My family and I live in a rented place and we are very happy in this home. But, lately the landlord increased the rent by 30 per cent and we are lost as to what to do as we cannot afford the hike.

We would like to continue living in this home as long as we are living in this country as it is very convenient for us in every way.  Please suggest a mantra that we could stay on here until my husband gets a transfer to another country.
